Time Change for the Arabesque Winds on Concert on January 22

Dear Friends,

As we are sure most of you have heard, Bettye Jo Mastrine, Executive Assistant to the President of the College, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, January 15th.

A celebration of life for Bettye Jo has been planned for Sunday, January 22nd at 2:00 pm, in McGaw Chapel on The College of Wooster campus.

Because we know that many of you were friends of Bettye Jo, and will wish to attend the celebration, we have decided to delay the start of the Arabesque Winds concert to 3:30 pm. We hope this delay will help everyone to make the best of a day filled with remembrance, celebration, and outstanding music.

Should you have any questions about the concert or the time change, please feel free to call or email Jarrod directly at 330-347-3029 or jarrod@woosterchambermusic.com.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely, Yvonne Williams and Jarrod Hartzler

Welcome to The Wooster Chamber Music Series

The renowned Wooster Chamber Music Series celebrates its 27th season in 2011-12

This season will feature some of the most recognized chamber music ensembles that are performing today. These groups will perform at the Scheide Music Center inside of the Gault Recital Hall (all concerts are Sundays at 3 p.m.). This venue is ideally suited for chamber music with a seating capacity of 280 people and a large grand piano.

You do not need to travel to large metropolitan cities to hear world class chamber music, as such fine music is accessible right here in Northeastern Ohio at less than 20 percent of the cost in most areas.

The Wooster Chamber Music Series, which began in 1984, spent the first 18 seasons at the Wayne Center for the Arts. The Series has been at its current home, The College of Wooster, for the past eight years.

As director of one of North American's largest chamber music management firms I have always been impressed with the consistent quality of the ensembles that you have presented. We have sent many artists to perform for you over the years and they all speak of the wonderful audience and they want to return to Wooster.
