The Wooster Chamber Music Series welcomes the return of the Juilliard String Quartet to the series on Sunday, March 21 at 3:00 pm. Their program will include works by Schubert, Bartók and Beethoven. The concert will be held in Gault Recital Hall at Scheide Music Center on The College of Wooster campus.
Tickets for the concert are $12.50 for general admission, $10 for seniors and students, and are available at the Wooster Book Company, Florence O. Wilson Bookstore, or at the door.
The Juilliard String Quartet is internationally renowned and admired for performances characterized by a clarity of structure, beauty of sound, purity of line and an extraordinary unanimity of purpose. Celebrated for its performances of works by composers as diverse as Beethoven, Schubert, Bartók and Elliott Carter, it has long been recognized as the quintessential American string quartet.
This 2009-2010 season is the inaugural season with first violinist Nick Eanet. Highlights include Da Camera of Houston, Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, Shriver Hall Concert Series in Baltimore, dates at The Juilliard School, and tours in Japan and throughout Europe.
The Wooster Chamber Music Series is celebrating its 25th year of bringing world-class chamber music to Wooster.
